All that time spent on my phone making reservations, modifying reservations, setting alarms just sucked the fun out of the day. And there are many rides on the LLMP list that don’t need the LL. There is so much more to experience at Disneyland than the rides as well.

Opening preview day was free because Walt himself gave dad tickets for the family as he was a writer and he saw the studio earn a lot from his writing including Davy Crockett. Now, living in northern California and 90 years old I would like to visit. However, reading these posts and checking ticket prices, it is now way too expensive (no discount for seniors). I don’t understand the phone technology that evidently is required to experience the rides for which one must endure additional cost to the already high entry fee. After California Adventure came into being one could easily walk back and forth between parks at any time at no additional cost. Now, only at extra cost and after 1:00 pm? What had been the happiest place on earth is now a difficult, high-priced cash cow for the company to pay for ill-advised takeovers of other media companies that are losing money. Too bad. I wish we could visit but at my wife and my ages we can’t afford it, can’t move as fast as apparently is now a requirement, and can’t fathom the technology required to use the park.

We rode Guardians of the Galaxy using the pass so that we could go multiple times.”

Do you mean that if you book a genie for say Guardians and it turns into a multi-experience pass and even though you use it to ride Guardians you, in a way, get back you opportunity to make a genie selection for Guardians once again?

There is a code inside the app (located under photos!) your photographer will scan to link your photos to the app.

Yes, you would have to wait 120 minutes due to that 4-5 Haunted Mansion time which is why I recommend booking reservations at first with more immediate return times.

I’ve never used it before so I don’t know how it works. When I add genie plus at the park do I need to do anything to have the photo linked into my app such as in a ride or with a photographer? Do they need to scan something or you do?
My other question is with the 120 min. So I understand that you can add another selection every 120 min but let’s say you go into the park and make a selection for 4-5 for haunted mansion therefore at 11am you can make another selection and there is time for 12-1 buzz can you make another once you scanned at 12 or do you need to wait till 1 for that 120 min time since you already have a genie selection for 4-5 for haunted mansion?

Hi Nora,

You will see Genie activated once you enter the park and your ticket is scanned in! Until then, you won’t see it in the app because it won’t activate until you’re inside the parks.

I purchased a package through Get Away Today and the invoice shows that Genie is included. When I downloaded and logged into the app, it has my tickets already linked, but offers me the option to buy Genie . How/when does Genie get linked to my ticket? I’m concerned because the Get Away Today invoice shows that Genie is included, but the app is asking if I want to buy it.
