Today is officially Disneyland's 70th anniversary, and we've been at the parks since 3:30 AM, attending a special cast member party and then witnessing Disney CEO Bob Iger ring the New York Stock Exchange Bell with other Disney executives and cast members.
Disney is also honoring guests for the Disneyland 70th anniversary with special freebies at park opening, plus a greeting from Disney executives.

As guests enter the park for Disneyland's 70th anniversary, they are being given a special commemorative pin and park map honoring the anniversary.

This special park map highlights the opening day attractions under an aerial view of Disneyland painted in 1954 by Disney Legend Peter Ellenshaw. This painting was used by Walt Disney to introduce Disneyland to the public.
The map also highlights special park entertainment and food options to celebrate Disneyland's 70th anniversary.
Disney Executives Greet Guests at Park Opening
Disney CEO Bob Iger and Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products, Josh D'Amaro stuck around after the ringing of the NYSE Bell to greet guests as Disneyland opened for the day.
The Disneyland Railroad train pulled up behind them, filled with characters waving at the guests. What a special moment for guests entering the parks!
It's not uncommon for Disney executives to greet guests for historic moments. During the Disneyland reopening after the pandemic-era closure, both Disney Chairman Bob Iger and Disney CEO Bob Chapek, greeted the first guests into the park at the end of Main Street.

Today was also the day that the new verse for “it's a small world” debuted at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Plus a new Zootopia themed window is now live on Main Street!
