REVIEW! We Tried the New Rooftop Brunch Near Disneyland With Park Views

One of the best hotels near Disneyland has debuted a new weekend brunch offering at its rooftop lounge with park views. We tried this new brunch recently and will share photos and our full review!

We have written in the past about how the Westin Anaheim offers such a luxurious atmosphere and amenities that some choose it over Disney's Grand Californian. The rooftop lounge is one of the highlights of this beautiful property, with views overlooking Disney California Adventure. It is one of the best spots to watch the Disneyland fireworks outside of the parks in the evening, and now the restaurant has a great new brunch offering! Keep reading for photos and our brunch experience here…

Brunch is offered at RISE Rooftop Lounge on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30 am-2:30 pm, and you can make reservations through OpenTable. Our reservation was for 11:30 am, and it started to get busier around 12:30 pm. It was a perfectly warm, sunny day in Anaheim when we visited.

The highlight of the location is, of course, the lovely view you get of the backside of Disney California Adventure. You can see the Incredicoaster, Pixar Pal-a-Round, Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission: Breakout!, and more from this vantage point.

There is one thing to be aware of for seating! We were initially seated at a high-top table with prime viewing of Disney California Adventure, which was stunning on such a nice day, but that seating is right next to where the live music is played. We thought the live performers were very talented, and we liked the music they played. However, just due to the positioning of the table, it was quite loud and we couldn't hear each other talk, so we asked to be moved to a table off to the side. This is just something to keep in mind, as it will be a little hard to hear if you're seated with a head-on view of the parks next to the speakers with the live performers. However, not everyone will mind this, so take this with a grain of salt!

We could still see some of the park from our table off to the side.

RISE Rooftop Lounge Brunch Food Review

Brunch cart Rise Rooftop Lounge

There are a lot of really interesting options on the menu (see the full menu below), including a selection of breakfast cocktails and sweet and savory plates. The offerings are all on the pricier side, but for the food, you get some very generous portions, as you'll see below.

You get an assortment of pastries to begin (croissants, madeleines, muffins, etc.), which we thought were all very good and fresh.

A highlight of the brunch is the specialty brunch cart, where you can choose from three different types of sparkling wines and various juices like pineapple, mango, passion fruit, etc.

We started out with the Cinnamon Roll Skillet, which was very good and perfect for sharing. The cream cheese icing was delicious and perfectly melted into the cinnamon roll. A similar sweet offering on the menu is the Coffee & Donuts (a chef-inspired seasonal creation), which we will definitely be trying next time.

We also had the two types of Benedicts, the Rise Benedict and Corn Beef Benedict. The serving size for these dishes is significant. It doesn't look like it from the photos below with the lovely presentation, but once you start to dig into the plate, you'll realize just how much food you're getting.

The Corn Beef Benedict features toasted rye, whole grain mustard, pickled Cabbage poached eggs, hollandaise, and chive, served with spring greens & chef’s breakfast potato. This was very good and flavorful, and the dish had lots of variety. I especially liked the combination of flavors from some of the sides, like the breakfast potato, which was a mashed potato in a spiced, crispy shell.

The Rise Benedict features toasted English Muffin, onion jam, thick-cut rosemary scented bacon, poached eggs, and hollandaise, served with spring greens & chef’s breakfast potato.

This brunch is a great option for a break from the parks after rope drop on the weekends, or an activity to end your trip on a high note on your check-out day. We really enjoyed our experience and will definitely be coming back to try some more of the brunch offerings!
